The joint PET Centre of TYKS, the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University acts as a national centre of PET research. The internationally recognised PET Centre performs medical and clinical PET imaging using the latest technology.
Patients with cancer as well as cardiac and neurological diseases benefit from PET research in particular. Apart from patient examinations, the PET centre is involved in medical and industrial research work as well as providing special field training.
