Pulmonary Diseases Inpatient Ward

We study and treat pulmonary (lung) diseases such as lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and pneumonia.

We admit patients

The pulmonary diseases inpatient ward also has a palliative pulmonary outpatient clinic, i.e. a symptomatic treatment outpatient clinic, which is intended for patients with lung cancer.

Rheumatic Diseases Inpatient Ward

We diagnose and treat patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases and provide patient education on disease management.

Our patients come from the rheumatology outpatient clinic, through the emergency department, or with a referral from primary care or other specialties.

We specialize in the treatment of rare and difficult-to-manage rheumatic diseases. Our goal is to improve the patient’s quality of life. We treat patients according to the latest treatment guidelines for rheumatic diseases and work as part of a multidisciplinary care team.

Expertise and competence

Our scientific research focuses on imaging of rheumatic diseases, especially vasculitis, using positron emission tomography (PET) (the PETU study) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). We also conduct active research on systemic sclerosis and carry out registry studies on various rheumatic diseases. In addition, we participate in clinical trials related to new medications.

We actively develop and maintain the national quality register for inflammatory rheumatic diseases, which helps assess treatment effectiveness, side effects, and quality of care.

We also collaborate closely with other medical specialties. We organize a monthly vasculitis meeting and regularly participate in the muscle disease group, pulmonary fibrosis meetings, and dermatology meetings.
