We serve you in a single unit. Assistive technology services are available from us timely and effortlessly. If you move away while maintaining a client relationship with us, we aim to guarantee your access to assistive technology in the future as well. Assistive technology can help in communication movement daily activities and living joint problems and post-amputation situations, for example, with various prostheses and orthoses. There is an outpatient clinic within our centre, which assesses the patients' need of assistive technology in an interprofessional environment. We are a part of the Tyks Service Division of Expert Services. Client fees Visiting us is free of charge. For students Regional assistive technology centre works as an internship for assistive technology engineering, physiotherapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy students. More information We are responsible for the special assistive technology device services of Southwest Finland and the assistive technology device services of Tyks patients, when the need of assistive technology is based on a condition that is being examined or treated. We develop and maintain our professionalism by completion education, networking and co-operation. We are also responsible for the co-ordination and development of the assistive technology services in Southwest Finland and the logistics of the member municipalities.
