About 4,000 children are born in Tyks every year. Our most important value is to place the family in the centre.

We serve children and adolescents under 16 years old in the specialties of paediatric medicine, paediatric surgery and paediatric neurology. In addition we have the Tyks unit for rare diseases. The unit aims at improving the management of paediatric and adult patients with rare diseases. We admit children from all around Finland by a doctor's referral.
