An interprofessional care team provides treatment at our clinic, including a paediatric orthopaedist, nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist and a medical orderly. The national centre of competence for paediatric orthopaedics and traumatology is located in Tyks, so we receive lots of patients from outside Southwest Finland. We admit patients by a doctor's referral. Our treatment include Orthopaedic problems of neonates repeated plaster casting of club foot (Ponseti method) treatment of congenital hip dislocation Children's back problems brace treatment for scoliosis and back stress fractures assessment of the need for operation of children with back problems requiring surgical treatment Neuro-orthopaedics assessment of the need for operation of children requiring multilevel surgery Upper limb disorders of children the assessment of the need for conservative, prosthetic and operative treatment of congenital brachial plexus injury and children's hand anomalies multiprofessional assessment (paediatric orthopaedist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, medical aid technician) Lower limb disorders of children the assessment of the need for treatment of unequal leg length, malpositions and congenital deformities. We are a part of the Tyks Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. Client fees The outpatient clinic fee is not charged from persons under 18 years of age. See client fees.
