Patients are administered the following by the doctor's prescription medical treatment antibody treatment cytotoxic chemotherapy blood products. We also perform minor procedures, such as infusion port flushes and venesections. Pain management is an essential part of the treatment of our patients as well. Patient visits are either scheduled doctor appointments or separately agreed medicinal therapy visits. Our most essential activities include informing and guiding the patient, as well as monitoring and documenting side effects. Some of the treatment methods are complicated and require efficient monitoring and instructing. Follow-up care is planned either at the doctor's practice or by the nurses of the infusion ward by the instructions of the doctor. Client fees A continuing treatment fee is collected from the treatment. Facilities The infusion outpatient clinic is divided into two halves, with the nurse's office in between. Each half has 4 to 5 recliners and a bed for possible procedures. There are small patient tables for drinks and magazines next to the recliners. There is a TV and a radio in the room. You can keep your outer garments inside locked closets in the waiting room. There are two toilets. There is a quiet spot in the ward where nurses can instruct patients and discuss with them. There are armchairs for patients waiting to be admitted and their next of kin outside the treatment room. If you have a several hour long treatment planned for you, we offer you coffee, tea, juice or water and a light snack. You can bring along activities to the treatment, e.g. reading material.
